In addition to taking open classes, Doxa encourages students in the Tulips, Violets, Orchids, and Cedars levels to participate in our 2-day workshop in August. In addition to ballet technique classes, the workshop will include pointe, conditioning, character, variations, improv and contemporary. A daily chapel time will begin each day, and Creative Worship will conclude the workshop. T-shirt included.

Dancers do not have to be Doxa year-around students to participate. Students unsure of their placement level should attend one open class prior to enrolling (free for placement purposes). Contact with any eligibility questions.

Tulips, Violets, Orchids, Cedars   $95

August 3 - 4   9:30 - 4:00

NEW! Ballet workshop for adults, too! Features a basic ballet class designed for beginner students but open to any experience level. Then enjoy a break to get to know your fellow campers with a provided light lunch and adult coloring time. End the workshop with a conditioning class. T-shirt included.

Sunflowers (Adults)   $55

July 14     10:00 - 1:00

Doxa offers Irises and Upper School students the ability to continue their training through the summer in an open class format. Purchase the Open Class Pass (punch card) that corresponds best to your family's summer schedule through the parent portal.

Classes begin mid-May, usually two weeks after the spring performances. Schedule and pricing is subject to change year to year.

2018 Summer Open Class Schedule

Irises, Tulips, Violets, Orchids and Cedars are eligible for Open Classes. They may come to any of the listed classes. Classes end for the summer with the two day workshop in August.

Challenge Days: taught roughly equivalent to Violets or Orchids level

Foundation Days: taught roughly equivalent to Iris or Tulips level

Note: Instead of a separate pointe segment this year, we will leave it up to the teacher whether or not to include pointe instruction at the end of the class. Those in Pointe II or III are encouraged to take a portion or all of class (especially on Foundation days) on pointe. Dancers have the freedom and primary responsibility of maintaining their pointe work over the summer.

Beginning May 14th:

Challenge Days   |   Monday & Thursday   |   4:30 - 6:00 pm

Beginning May 29th:

Foundation Days   |   Tuesday & Wednesday   |   10:00 - 11:30 am

***No class on Memorial Day or July 4th***

Open Class Pass options are designed to provide flexibility to families with varied summer schedules. Simply estimate the number of class your dancer is likely to take this summer based on their availability, and choose the closest pass. Bundled classes are more economical per class, and include several free classes when compared to the per-class rate. Any unused classes will not be reimbursed and cannot be applied to future semesters.

Each class is worth one “card punch.” If buying a bundled class pass, please pay half of the cost by the first class taken, and the remainder by June 15th.  Register and purchase cards through the parent portal (Account Menu at top) starting May 7th.

By-the-Class Rate   $7.50

Red Pass = 12 punches (equals up to 2 free classes)   $75

Orange Pass = 24 punches (equals up to 6 free classes)   $135

Yellow Pass = 34 punches (equals up to 10 free classes)   $185

Green Pass = unlimited punches (includes Aug 3-4 workshop tuition)   $275
